Hair Length: Make sure that your hair is at least 1/4 inch long.I prefer 2-3 weeks of growth.
Avoid Sun Exposure: Try to stay out of the sun or avoid tanning beds for a few days prior. Sunburned skin can not be waxed.
Pain Management: Consider taking an over-the-counter pain reliever about 30 minutes before your appointment to help minimize discomfort if needed.
Clothing: Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing to your appointment. This will help reduce irritation after the wax.
Discuss Sensitive Areas: If you have any specific concerns, such as sensitivity or skin conditions, communicate these with your waxer before the procedure.
Stay Hydrated: Drink water before your appointment to maintain hydration, which can help reduce skin sensitivity.
-
Absolutely! As long as you have tampon or a mensural cup inserted we are good to go. I suggest taking an Advil prior to your appointment as it can be more painful during your time of the month.
-
No hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, working out, sex, or UV tanning for 24 hrs post wax.
-
Refrain from using any retinoids or exfoliating products for 7-10 days prior to your appointment, as these can increase skin sensitivity and will cause a scab to potentially form.
Avoid sun exposure or tanning beds for at least 48 hours prior to waxing, as sunburned skin can not be waxed.
Lastly, stay clear of alcohol or caffeine on the day of your treatment, as these can heighten sensitivity.
-
For the first 24 hours after treatment, avoid water, steam, and heat to allow the lamination set.
Brush your brows or lashes regularly to keep them neat, and style the brows with a clear gel and or pencil after 24hrs
Apply castor oil or elleplex serum every night starting after 24hrs of the treament to maintain moisture and brow health.
After 6-8 weeks we can laminate the brows again, I recommend a wax and tint 4 weeks after the lamination to maintain the brows.
